Unlike The Light, The End is solely focused on death. It does not guide souls to the afterlife, but it has been known to comfort those who have died. While It simply reaps those dead, cleaving all things living from their bodies, it seems to possess the compassion it was never granted. The End is born from the experiments of the Class 2 Prime Creator Gods, particularly an experiment that frequently pleaded for death to take its life. When it finally did pass on, it ascended to godhood, driven by the empathetic need to show others the "kindness" it was never granted. It is also said that whenever The End encounters a pet of someone who has yet to pass on, it keeps the soul until it reaps its owner so they can journey to Soelcycl together.

The End is not voluntarily worshipped, nor does it seek out worshippers. While many cultures have depictions of Death, death is not frequently worshipped. So, when it finds a culture that worships it, it takes its role very seriously. The End will go out of its way to comfort the souls of those who have died in cultures that worship it, appearing in whatever form it was depicted as. No matter how frivolous the form may seem to them.
