Sonas travels exclusively through dreams and the unconscious. She has frequently been mistaken for "a light" when physical bodies are dying, coming to guide souls to Kipara. Sonas does not discriminate between living and dead souls, guiding all those making the journey between Kipara and Orīrī (both ways). She also guides those asleep, manipulating their dreams to her will. She has a soft spot for children, often ushering away their nightmares, but is unguided by actions made while conscious by adults. She sees their interactions with the dream world as a true reflection of their self, and manipulates their dreams upon that basis. Worshippers of Sonas believe in a "Grand Cycle of Existence."

Sonas takes a hands-on approach. Although she never appears physically to any of her followers she commonly appears in dreams and drug trips, letting their minds create an idealized version of her. As she is a God she knows more than just her domain and guides her subjects accordingly.
